In joining with Meleth and Avengangle, its still a bad season for grandparents. I mean, I guess she made it 3 days into March but still. Anyway, my grandma died yesterday morning, after being fairly sick for a year; she got pneumonia a year ago and almost died then, but she was tenacious. Much of my family was around when she went though, so that was good.
I'm also not making it back for the memorial mass (that was eventually decided on anyway despite the fact that originally it wasn't going to happen), mostly because there isn't a wake or anything else, just lunch and mass. There will be some ash burial thing in a few months I will try and get to.

ps- in other news I got my hair cut for the first time at a barber. I used to be so scared to go in case they turned me away. But they didn't. Yay short hair. |

So, I ran into the guy who drove the van to skydiving today, and he said he had my flashdrive. He found it cleaning out the van after the trip and brought it home w/ him.
YAY! Too bad he didn't leave it in a lost-and-found type place that they DO have at the organization he works for, so I would have gotten it back on Monday, before I trekked through most of the stages of grief over the loss of my flashdrive. If I'd not run into him who *knows* how long it would have been before he managed to track me down, since he didn't go through the obvious channel.
But at least, YAY! |

WOO! I actually prepaid to go one more time, sometime in the spring. They had a 50% off dealie.
In bad news, I'm freaking because I lost my flashdrive today, and my advisor gave me a due day of Friday for my proposal, which I may very well have to restart now :( Wish me luck that I find it in the van I was riding in today. |
